Founder, Second Nature Care
For more than twenty-five years, I have worked with patients who were told there was nothing more that could be done. Many have seen multiple skilled physicians without finding lasting answers.
My focus is helping people understand why their symptoms persist and supporting the body’s ability to heal through targeted, integrative approaches. My clinical work includes autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, neurological and hormonal disorders, cardiovascular disease, and chronic, complex illness.
Care may include I.V. therapies, nutritional and metabolic support, and individualized treatment plans based on each patient’s needs and state-specific scope of practice.

Treating chronic illness is personal for Dr. Guggenheim.
After being diagnosed with severe psoriatic arthritis in 2006, she identified and addressed the underlying contributors to her own disease and has remained in remission since. That experience shapes how she works with patients today.
Her approach emphasizes:
Understanding the “why” behind symptoms
Supporting the body rather than suppressing signals
Educating patients so they can participate actively in their care
Making realistic, strategic changes that patients can sustain
Genetics may load the gun, but environment and behavior often pull the trigger. Care focuses on addressing those modifiable factors.
